5 Creepy Video Game Glitches – Horror Month 2016 – Day 2
by Andrea “The Grill” of Geeky Gaming
For day 2 in our first ever Horror Month, we are going over 5 Creepy Video Game Glitches. We will be going over 5 more later in the month, so be sure to check back for that. And come back tomorrow for the 3rd video in our first Horror Month!
5 Creepy Video Game Glitches
Hey Geeks, it’s Andrea. Today is day 2 in our first Horror Month. We are doing 31 days of Creepy Countdown videos. And today I thought I would bring you some creepy gaming content. Who doesn’t love getting creeped out by the games you are playing? Especially when they aren’t really meant to scare you. So here are 5 video game glitches that if you ran into might just have made you wet your pants a little. Alright Geeks, let’s go.
- Sherlock Holme’s
Okay this really isn’t a glitch, but more of a weird decision. I guess you just aren’t supposed to look back. Honestly, though, who just plays through a game without looking back? When creating Sherlock Holmes, the developers must not have seen the need for walking animation for Watson because none had been programmed. So he moved a lot like a weeping angel or slenderman. He doesn’t move when you look at him, but when you look away he seemingly teleports. If you are easily creeped out by this kind of movement, as I think many are, this could have been enough to make you turn off the game.
- Hitman: Blood Money
This is actually a glitch I’ve seen in a few games, but probably none more famously than when it happened in Hitman: Blood Money. Sometimes after killing an enemy, they just don’t want to leave you alone. Almost like a weird pet, they follow you like stiff shadows. I guess if things like this happened in real life catching murderers would be a lot easier, but way messier. And much more disturbing.
- Red Dead Redemption
Have you ever wondered what happens when for some reason NPCs and random animals merge? Well if you played Red Dead Redemption, you didn’t have to wonder. Some of them are humorous like men flapping their arms through the sky like a bird, but there are others that seem a bit more disturbing. Like this grey-skinned man-cougar.
- Grand Theft Auto
Ghost cars have been kind of a myth throughout the later GTA games. They act differently in each GTA game, but the ghost cars have been seen in both GTA IV and GTA V single player and online. In GTA V single player sometimes you will see driverless cars going around like any normal car, sometimes in odd locations. If you shoot the car they turn aggressive. Sometimes driving away as they would if a person was behind the wheel, but in some videos have been seen driving at the player attacking them. There are debates to the validity of these car attack videos, but there are a lot out there. There are also videos of cars that will randomly coast in while you’re in the middle of nowhere. With no roads nearby. These cars have been the subject of a list of debates within the GTA community.
I can’t express how much I hate this glitch. I have a severe issue with a lot of humanoid things, so the mannequins bother me anyway. I turn them off whenever possible, but… When the game first came out sometimes these already creepy mannequins would just begin to act like NPCS. In some cases, they would even walk towards you. Generally, when this happened, the gear you had on the mannequin would simply disappear. So not only do you get this creepy event, but you lose the gear you put on them.
Alright Geeks, that is going to do it for this video. Be sure to check back with us tomorrow to see the next video in our first Horror Month. Subscribe if you haven’t and be sure to like and leave a comment. Alright Geeks, I’ll see you tomorrow.
