5 Horrific Video Game Enemies – Horror Month 2016 – Day 23
by Andrea “The Grill” of Geeky Gaming
Here are some more terrifying video game enemies for you. A couple of my favorites are in this one!
Don’t forget to get your T-Shirt before they’re gone forever!
Hey Geeks, it’s Andrea. Earlier during Horror Month, we went over 5 horrific video game enemies. We enjoyed it so much we thought we would share 5 more with you. Remember, you only have till the end of the month to get the t-shirt to remind you that you were here for the first. Alright Geeks, let’s go.
- Silent Hill – Nurses
The Nurses have become a staple in the Silent Hill games. They have become iconic in their own rights. While playing through a game for the first time, you know you will inevitably come across these twitchy, faceless, terrifying nurses. Of course, seeing them overwhelms you with the urge to run the fuck out of there, but if you do you will alert them to your presence and you may find yourself being chased down by a group of terrifying ladies that give you a really confusing boner. Not to bring up a sore subject, but I really wish we could have seen what they would have looked like in Silent Hills.
- SCP: Containment Breach – SCP-173
To oversimplify things for people that don’t know, the SCP foundation is a creepypasta with a life of its own. There are thousands of pages on their website about items and living things that need to be contained. SCP-173 or The Sculpture is an enemy very reminiscent of the Weeping Angels that terrified us Whovians several years back. Not by looks, obviously, but in the way it behaves. The Sculpture can only move if you break eye contact. If you happen to blink or take your eyes off of it before securing it, he will come closer and attempt to snap your character’s neck.
- Legend of Zelda – ReDeads
I know it may seem weird to have an enemy from the Legend of Zelda on this list, but if you’ve ever played the game and heard that scream. It’s so creepy and disturbing that Link is unable to move when he hears it. Giving these creepy dudes a chance to continue slowly walking to harm you. Between the way they slowly walk towards you, the scream, and the look of decay, I think these guys definitely deserve a spot here.
- The Last of Us – Clickers
The Last of Us is definitely worthy of all the praise it has received. The word masterpiece may be thrown around a little too much, but it certainly fits the bill here. The Last of Us brought us an enemy that I know I had nightmares about. Clickers were once people who have been infected with the maddening fungus of the game so long that it has grown out of their skull and covered most of their face. Because of this, they are blind and use echo-location. If they hear you before you’re ready with a silent attack, they run at you. If you haven’t been able to find a silent hiding spot without them finding you, they can one shot you.
- Resident Evil 4 – Chainsaw Man
I can still remember the first time I saw Chainsaw Man in the first time I played through Resident Evil 4. I remember my mouth gaping as he instantly removed Leon’s head from his body. It was so early in the game too. Even though chainsaws are a super fear of mine, I feel like this was the moment that Resident Evil 4 really stole my heart. But still, fuck you, chainsaw man. Stay out of my mine cart.
