5 Unsettling SCP Foundation Entries – Horror Month 2016 – Day 26
by Andrea “The Grill” of Geeky Gaming
The SCP foundation has a lot of creepy content. Here is some for you!
Don’t forget to get your T-Shirt before they’re gone forever!
Hey Geeks, it’s Andrea. If you’ve never heard of SCP Foundation, the easiest explanation that I can give you is that it is a creepypasta with a life of its own. You can spend hours on the SCP wiki. Some of them are clearly jokes and others are legitimately creepy as hell. Today we are going to take a look at 5 of these items that need to be Secured, Contained, and Protected. There are 3 classifications. Safe – although it isn’t something to be handled, it isn’t a severe risk. Euclid – there isn’t enough information on the object to know of its danger. It is unpredictable. And Keter – these objects are of the most dangerous in the world. They need to be contained and ultimately destroyed for the safety of all mankind. They often have the ability to destroy everything. Alright Geeks, let’s go.
- SCP-1471 Object Class: Euclid
SCP 1471 is a free application for your phone and tablet. It downloads to your device without having any form of shortcut to open the application. It begins to send you an image of itself every 3-6 hours through text. SCP 1471 has the appearance of a large humanoid with a skull and black hair. For the first 24 hours, will notice that the images it sends are of locations you commonly go to. After 48 hours it will go to places you have more recently visited. After 72, it will be of where you are currently. Once you pass that 90-hour mark, you may think you see it in real life. If you don’t have your device removed and the standard protocols taken, it could become permanent.
- SCP-106 Object Class: Keter
SCP 106 has the appearance of a decomposing elderly man. It will sit still for days at a time, not moving an inch. Waiting for someone to happen by. Often holding onto a ceiling. Once a victim comes by, it will injure its victim by causing enough damage to incapacitate them. Usually to the organs or major muscles. Afterwards it takes its victim into its pocket dimension. After touching any object, it will begin to corrode within seconds. This also happens with its victims. SCP 106 can also pass through solid objects, using its pocket dimension.
- SCP-187 Object Class: Safe
This one isn’t disturbing in the she is going to murder us all sense, but more in a “Wow, that’s disturbing!” type of a way. Does that make sense? Probably not. Anyway. SCP-187 is a 20-something woman who can basically see 2 moments at all times. The current time. For example, someone standing in front of her. And an upcoming event. Like their mutilated corpse if something is going to happen to them. This causes problems with her eating because her food also appears as… Well, what food becomes after you digest it.
- SCP-087 Object Class: Euclid
If you get creeped out looking down the stairs to your basement, you’re not going to like this one. SCP-087 is a seemingly never-ending staircase. On top of descending to an unknown and impossible amount, the darkness absorbs most light. Limiting visuals. Through 3 written attempts to descend this dark stairwell, they have descended over 250 flights of stairs. While walking, they could hear the voice of a child crying “Please help!” and “Down here!” This is believed to be to lure people to descend the steps. Once they get to a certain level, which is different every time, a face appears itself. In the 3rd expedition, after having enough turning around to leave, the woman making the journey down realized that he was behind her the whole time.
- SCP-173 Object Class: Euclid
Probably the most classic on this list, SCP-173 behaves similarly to a weeping angel. Unable to move when at least 1 person is looking directly at it. But if people turn away, it snaps their neck at the base. SCP-173 often has 3 people in the room with it, making sure they don’t all blink at the same time. Giving each other plenty of warning before blinking. When the room is left empty, scratching and scraping is heard from within the container. If the scraping continues, at least they know it is inside.
Alright Geeks, that’s going to do it for this video. Thank you so much for hanging out with me today. There is so much reading in some of these, so I included the links in the description in case you want to read more. It’s fun to just read random articles on there if you get bored. Don’t forget, there is less than a week to get your hands on the t-shirt for our first Horror Month. I’m pretty excited for mine to come in. If you are having fun here, don’t forget to subscribe and share with your friends. Before leaving, give us a like and a comment. Alright Geeks, I will see you tomorrow.
